Checking Your Mac OS Version
If you are not sure your Mac's OS version meets the CengageNOWv2 system requirements (OS X 10.10 and greater), here's how to check it.

Setting the Mac System Date and Time
If your computer's date and time settings are substantially different from those of your local network or the CengageNOWv2 server, you may have trouble signing in to CengageNOWv2.
To set the System Date and Time on Mac OS X
You can arrange to have the date and time set automatically, or set your computer's date and time manually.
- Open the Apple menu and select System Preferences.
- Click the Date & Time icon.
- On the Date & Time tab, click the lock icon at the bottom of the page.
- Enter your password in the pop-up window and click Unlock.
- Deselect the option to Set date and time automatically.
- To change the system's time, choose the network time server for your region and update the date and time as necessary.
- To change the time zone, click the Time Zone tab, then deselect the option to Set time zone automatically using current location.
- Click a location on the map, then use the Closest City dropdown menu to choose the city closest to your location.
- Click the Clock tab.
- ° Show date and time in menu bar: Select the checkbox to see the date and time in the top-left corner of the menu bar. In Time options and Date options, set how you want the date and time to appear.
- ° Announce the time: Select the checkbox to hear the time announced, then choose when you want it announced. If you want, you can customize the voice.

Pages in CengageNOWv2 are designed for use with a screen resolution of 1366 by 768 or better. It takes just a few quick steps to check or change this setting.
To change Display Settings for Mac OS X
- 1. Click the Apple menu and select System Preferences.... The System Preferences page will open in a new window.
- 2. Click the Displays icon.
- 3. Select the Display tab, if necessary.
- 4. Select Scaled next to the Resolution heading and choose your desired resolution option.
- 5. Close the Display window when you are done.
