Student View/Instructor View Toggle

CengageNOWv2 allows you to change to Student View at any time by clicking the Change to Student View link located in the Global Actions Menu. This useful feature enrolls you as a student in your selected course, and can be very helpful in allowing you to experience your course exactly how your students are experiencing it.

While in a student view, you can take and submit assignments, browse your grades in the Gradebook, and interact with every aspect of the interface as a student would see it. When you wish to return to your instructor view once again, simply click the link in the Global Action Menu, which is now labeled Return to Instructor View.

Before toggling accounts you need to have a course set up and selected. Also, you cannot be enrolled as a student in more than one section of that particular course. If you do switch to a different course section and enroll (i.e. click Change to Student View), you are unenrolled from the previous section and lose any saved assignments and grades.

Note: If your student session is interrupted, logging in again returns you to your instructor view. However, you can resume your student session in progress by changing back Student View.
