Editing Assignment Options

Every assignment comes with options. For example, an option to allow a Homework assignment to be taken multiple times and a final exam only once. Or, options to allow or disallow such features as resources, solutions, and feedback.

When you create or edit an assignment, you are given a chance to revise the assignment options default settings. If desired, you can even save changes you make into a Option Set, so that when you create future assignments you can reuse the set.

In most assignment types, these options are available to you as a panel of choices on the right side of the assignment creation wizard. Also, after an assignment is created, you can click Edit next to an assignment name to return to the page where you can modify the available options as desired. If you leave an option with your selections incomplete, that option will appear highlighted in red.

Note: If a student has initiated an assignment take, some assignment options are disabled for further editing. For example, your choice of scoring and methods for multiple takes.
