Enrollment Overview

If you already have users enrolled in your course or section, their enrollment information appears on the Users page in list form, otherwise the Users page is blank. This page contains several controls for managing enrollment in your courses.

Long lists of enrolled users are broken down into additional pages. Use the alphabetical dropdown menu to select a page based on their last names. You can also use the Previous and Next controls to look at the list sequentially.

From the Users main page you can unenroll students by selecting their name and clicking the Unenroll User(s) button. You also have the option to unenroll students as part of the manual enrollment process. See Removing Users from a Course or Section for complete details.

In addition to enrolling students manually, you can also choose to allow students to enroll themselves. Many instructors opt for self-enrollment by distributing the Student Registration Instructions PDF, which is automatically generated as part of the course creation process. When you include the registration PDF or course link in printed class materials or an email, students can log in to CengageBrain and enroll themselves with the help of a guided walk-through. When creating a course with sections, you must use the enrollment functions on the Users page to assign sections to teaching assistants or other instructors. To assign the sections, you enroll those instructors as instructors in their sections of the course.


Note: The users you wish to manually enroll must first acquire access rights and log-in to CengageNOWv2. Once this is done, you can enroll them from the Users page.
